Our dinner last night at Mr Ji's Kitchen was a fantastic experience. The staff were wonderfully attentive and friendly, making us feel welcome. The food was simply outstanding; every dish was fresh and flavourful. We were especially impressed with the pork items. Be warned, the portion sizes are incredibly generous! We didn't realize how huge they were and happily ended up with enough delicious leftovers for another meal, which we had to bring back in takeaway boxes. Highly recommended and will definitely be back.

Amazing food and service! After years of being Coeliac, I finally found a place where I could eat some delicious Chinese food 😍. They were very aware of measures to avoid cross-contamination and there were also many gluten free options. Absolute heaven. I will be back on the regular! Thank you.

Some nice food but the ambiance and surroundings are not very pleasant. The Peking duck was delicious, as were the stir fried choy sum with garlic sauce. The crispy lamb was too salty and dry, with more batter than actual meat. The crispy squid was nice, but the dish was artificially made to look bigger with the addition of unnecessary garnish (such as onions). The restaurant location itself is a bit sad, set in a room reminiscent of an industrial storeroom.

Go-to Chinese takeaways in our NZ-USA household. Kids favorite Chinese spot. Big portions, good flavor-wish all the dishes came with rice but we order a couple on the side. Usual order is Sweet and sour pork and chicken, orange beef, mince and green beans, chilli oil dumplings, and spring rolls. A bit expensive but we usually do delivery so unsure how price differs eating in person. Highly recommend.

Our go-to Chinese restaurant in Lower Hutt 😊
We usually stick with our favourites, Sweet & Sour Pork and Fried Rice. But this time we went all in on the starters 😅 and they were absolutely delicious!
